Our Favorite Resorts with the Best ROOMS

When we travel, a high quality room is important and a soaker tub is a BIG plus. While the beach and location are most important for us when choosing a resort, there is nothing like having a luxurious room awaiting you when you return from the day's activities. Your room is your private oasis and you deserve all the luxury that the resort can provide.

If you are looking for a tropical resort that has rooms that are luxurious in every way ... take a look at the resorts listed below. Their rooms are first rate!

#1 - Favorite Resort for Rooms Four Seasons Resort Hualalai Big Island Hawaii
Guest Room at Four Seasons Resort Hualalai

Comments: What we like most about the rooms at Four Seasons Hualalai is the authentic Hawaiian feel that you get the moment you walk in the door. The rooms don't just feel like a luxury room; they feel like a luxury HAWAIIAN room. That is not to say that the rooms are not world class ... they are. The rooms have everything you expect in a Four Seasons room and then some: beautiful fit and finish, large bathroom with deep soaker tub and separate shower, large walk-in closet, exceptionally comfortable bed, huge flat screen TV's and a wonderful lanai. If you are traveling with your family or you just want a little extra space, make sure you look into a suite at Four Seasons Hualalai. There are 20 new luxurious oceanview suites, plus existing suites on the property to choose from.
Another great feature of the rooms is they are arranged in small, two story crescents that really give you an intimate feel. If you are on the top floor, you get enhanced, awesome views. On many of the bottom floor rooms and suites, you get an amazing lava rock outdoor shower. While a little leery of the outdoor shower, once I tried it, I was sold. Whether you have the views from the second floor or the outdoor shower on the first floor, you are going to fall in love with your accommodations at the Four Seasons Hualalai Resort. When you are in your room or on your lanai, you get a feeling of calm that causes you to go into total relaxation mode. That is what we love most about the rooms at Hualalai.

#2 - Favorite Resort for Rooms Le Taha'a Island Resort & Spa Taha'a Tahiti
Guest Room at Le Taha'a Island Resort & Spa

Comments: The rooms at Le Taha'a Private Island Resort and Spa are spectacular! We chose the Overwater Bungalows (OWB) and we highly recommend the OWB vs. the Beach Villas. The Overwater Bungalows are well appointed and have a very luxurious feel. The bathroom was fantastic with a deep soaker tub and all the amenities. The bungalow has an incredible deck with comfortable lounge chairs that are great for relaxing in the South Pacific sun. The deck also has a covered sitting space that provides a shaded area to cool off. One of the great things about the bungalows at Le Taha'a Private Island is that the decks are off to the side of the bedroom, so you have a huge picture window that gives you dramatic views that are unobstructed by the deck. We woke up in the morning to spectacular views of the island of Taha'a that were absolutely breathtaking. The picture window was a huge plus and made the room feel that much more lavish. Another awesome feature of the rooms at Le Taha'a is being able to swim right off the deck of your bungalow. This is an incredible feature of the Overwater Bungalows that affords you the opportunity to enjoy the brilliant lagoon and still have the feeling of absolute privacy.

Le Taha'a is all about seclusion and solitude in a magnificent setting. The rooms at Le Taha'a Private Island gave us everything we expected from a resort of this caliber. You will love the rooms at Le Taha'a and you will feel like you are on your own private island ... wait ... you are on your own private island! Treat yourself to Le Taha'a Private Island; you will be glad you did!

#3 - Favorite Resort for Rooms Mauna Kea Beach Hotel Big Island Hawaii
Guest Room at the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel

Comments: - Mauna Kea offers a variety of guest rooms, all featuring exceptional fit and finish and presented in the resort's unique style of "understated elegance". The rooms are very comfortable with all the first-class amenities you would expect at a luxury property. Each room at Mauna Kea offers a relaxing lanai that is perfect for enjoying the beautiful Hawaiian climate. Whether you choose an oceanview or a mountain/golf view room, the lanai is the perfect spot to enjoy all the beauty of the Big Island.
While there are many room classes to choose from, each with their own charms, we choose the Deluxe Ocean View room and were blown away. These rooms have been renovated and enlarged and are now approximately 50% larger than before the renovation. The room itself was modern and comfortable with many subtle Hawaiian touches, but the bathroom was what took me over the top. The bathroom "suite" features a vanity/dressing area that is separate from the deep soaker tub and shower. From the soaking tub I had amazing views of the ocean! After my bath, there was a separate lanai, complete with lounge chair to enjoy the incredible sights. Both the Deluxe Ocean View or Golf Vista Rooms have this bathroom configuration and I highly recommend this category of rooms. If you love a luxurious, deep soaking tub, give these rooms a try!

#4 - Favorite Resort for Rooms Cap Juluca Anguilla Caribbean
Guest Room at Cap Juluca

Comments: When we stayed at Cap Juluca we choose a Superior Room. The room was large, well appointed and very comfortable. My one gripe is that it did not have a soaker tub. The next category of rooms are Luxury Rooms that have a beautiful soaker tub and are slightly bigger. For the extra $100 per night we could have upgraded and actually it should have been an easy choice. I know, I know ... what was I thinking? Also, the Junior Suites look amazing with an even larger room and an unbelievable looking soaker tub. When we go back, we are going to look hard at the Jr. Suite (Luxury Room at least). Since our last visit to Cap Juluca, they have recently completed a $22 million renovation project. The rooms were awesome before, so I expect that they are over the top, world class now. The Moorish-style beachfront rooms just give you such a unique feeling when visiting. When you book at Cap Juluca, you are in for an unbelievable experience and the accommodation will be no exception.

#5 - Favorite Resort for Rooms Hilton Moorea Lagoon Resort & Spa Moorea Tahiti
Overwater Bungaloo at Hilton Moorea Lagoon Resort & Spa

Comments: The rooms at the Hilton Moorea are well appointed with gorgeous views. We stayed in an Overwater Bungalow and HIGHLY recommend the Overwater option. Our room had a large bathroom with a deep, claw foot soaker tub that allowed us to gaze out over the lagoon while we soaked in luxury. This was a really awesome feature. The rooms are very comfortable and have a beautiful deck that allowed us to sit outside and enjoy the amazing views. The garden bungalows are nice, but if you are going to French Polynesia, spend the extra dollars for the Overwater Bungalow ... you will not regret it.

The best thing about the rooms at Hilton Moorea is the ability to swim or snorkel right off your deck! And making it even more remarkable is the quality of snorkeling. There is amazing coral right in the middle of the overwater bungalows that provide unbelievable snorkeling, all right off your room. The snorkeling itself makes the rooms at Hilton Moorea amazing. Add in the quality of the room and the soaker tub along with the spectacular views and you have a memorable experience.

#6 - Favorite Resort for Rooms CuisinArt Resort & Spa Anguilla Caribbean
Guest Room at CuisinArt Resort & Spa

Comments: We stayed in an oceanview junior suite, which I highly recommend, so this is the class of room we can give personal experience on. That being said ... the view was to die for! We were beachfront with stunning views of Rendezvous Bay and St. Martin on the horizon. Our room had a beautiful balcony with lounge chairs and a table to take breakfast in the morning. The room itself was comfortable and well appointed. The room had an extra large walk-in closet which gave you plenty of room for your clothes and was even big enough to iron in ... very convenient. While the room was excellent, the bathroom was over the top. The bathroom had a HUGE soaker tub and separate shower, which was awesome. The bathroom was large (double sink) and very open, airy and light. Our room at CuisinArt Resort really enhanced our stay. If you like a spacious, well appointed room at a beautiful beachfront resort, you will love the CuisinArt Resort!
