Our Favorite Resorts with the best BEACHES

A stunning beach is THE most important thing we look for in a luxury topical resort. We want a beautiful, relaxing beach that is secluded and peaceful.

These are the things we look for in a great beach and beach resort:

The beaches at the resorts listed below are truly stunning. At these resorts, you will get exceptional service and the feel that you are on a secluded private beach.

#1 - Favorite Resort for Beaches Cap Juluca Anguilla Caribbean
Beach at Cap Juluca

Comments: Maundays Bay at Cap Juluca is our favorite beach thanks to the seclusion, service and beauty of the beach. Lounge chairs are set up in front of your villa to make your beach experience as convenient as possible. There was good availability of lounge chairs and we were not sitting right next to our neighbor ... we had our personal space. When we walked down the path from our beachfront room, an attendant was right there to set up our chair, towel and umbrella. We received a small cooler with bottled water which is a very nice touch. We always had an attendant waiting to help us with anything we needed. Whenever we wanted a cocktail, we would just raise our flag and someone was there to help us in no time.

The beach at Cap Juluca is perfect for swimming. The water was refreshing and so relaxing! The whole vibe at Cap Juluca is quiet elegance. At this resort you get the feeling that you can truly decompress and relax. Whether taking a walk on the perfect crescent bay, relaxing on the beach or taking a refreshing swim, Cap Juluca allows you to unwind and enjoy the laid-back island feel.

#2 - Favorite Resort for Beaches Turks & Caicos Club Turks and Caicos Caribbean
Beach at Turks and Caicos Club

Comments: Turks and Caicos Club is located on amazing Grace Bay. What we love about this beach and resort is that it does not feel like a big, overstated resort. It you want a typical Four Seasons/Ritz experience, then Turks and Caicos Club is not the place for you. What you do get is the intimate, boutique feel. There were always chairs available (this is a huge plus for us) with a beach attendant to get us set up. There is not typical "beach drink service", but once we ordered a drink, the staff was checking on us regularly. The water right in front of the beach is great for swimming. Also, there is excellent snorkeling about 100 yards from the resort.

At this end of Grace Bay, where there are less resorts, we get more of a secluded feel. Although there are new resorts in the area, you still get plenty of beach and plenty of privacy. And the fact that Turks and Caicos Club is so small and intimate means the beach feels like you have it all to yourself.

#3 - Favorite Resort for Beaches Pink Sands Resort Bahamas Caribbean
Beach at Pink Sands Resort

Comments: Pink Sands Resort is located on Harbour Island's world famous Pink Sand beach. Yes, the beach is actually pink. The pink color comes from tiny creatures called Foraminifera that live beneath reefs, on the sea floor and underneath rocks. Their shells are broken up by the surf into the pink colored sand that is washed up on the beach. The best time to see the pink color is during the early morning or evening hours. The sand is unbelievably soft. It's hard to imagine how beautiful and soft the beach is until you actually have your toes dug into the sand, looking up and down miles of deserted beach.

At Pink Sands Resort, you really do have the beach to yourself. With only 2 small resorts and few homes, there are not a lot of folks on the beach. We would walk on the beach for miles and see no one. The resort provides lounge chairs on the beach and the magnificent Blue Bar is right up the stairs. One of our favorite things to do is have a snack or a drink at the Blue Bar and just gaze at the blue water and pink sand beach. It's truly one of the most amazing views we have ever seen. If you are looking for a fantastic resort with a breathtaking beach that seems it is there just for your enjoyment, Pink Sands Resort is the place for you.

#4 - Favorite Resort for Beaches CuisinArt Resort & Spa Anguilla Caribbean
Beach at CuisinArt Resort & Spa

Comments: Back to Anguilla and the CuisinArt Resort & Spa for another amazing beach and beautiful property. Located on spectacular Rendezvous Bay, CuisinArt is the only luxury resort on this fantastic bay. You can walk for miles on the powdery white sand beach and not see another soul. There were friendly beach attendants who set up our chair, towel and umbrella as soon as we arrived on the beach. Complimentary water is provided on the beach (and at the pool) which is a nice touch and allows one to say well hydrated when out in the beautiful sunshine. The water in front of the resort is great for a quick swim to cool off or just relax in the warm, tropical waters of Anguilla. The views of St. Martin in the distance along with the stunning white sand and serene blue water makes relaxing on the beach at CuisinArt Resort one of our favorite pastimes.

We found the service on the beach to be very good. Folks came by regularly to make sure that "all was well" and to see if we needed a refreshing cocktail. At 3pm, we were served sorbet on the beach, which was refreshing and delightful. If you are looking to soak up a little local flavor, 100 yards up the beach is Bankies on the Beach. This is a local hangout where you can get a good drink, something to snack on and listen to a little island music. Regardless of what you are looking for, you are sure to find it on Rendezvous Beach at the CuisinArt Resort.

#5 - Favorite Resort for Beaches Mauna Kea Beach Hotel Big Island Hawaii
Beach at Mauna Kea Beach Hotel

Comments: The beach at Mauna Kea is a spectacular, mile long crescent of soft white sand that frames the beautiful blues of the Pacific Ocean. On the Big Island, the shoreline is generally rocky and the sand beaches tend to be smaller. But at Mauna Kea, we were treated to one of the most spectacular beaches on all the Hawaiian Islands. We had plenty of room to talk long walks, splash in the surf or enjoy a variety of water sports. Service at the beach was good and we were set up with towels and lounges as soon as we arrived at the beach. When we want to explore all the beauty of the Big Island but still have the perfect white sand beach for our tropical vacation, we look no further than the enchanting Mauna Kea Resort.

#6 - Favorite Resort for Beaches Four Seasons Resort Lanai at Manele Bay Lanai Hawaii
Beach at Four Seasons Resort Lanai at Manele Bay

Comments: The Four Seasons Manele Bay is located on spectacular Hulopo'e Bay. The beach service at Manele Bay is what you would expect from the Four Seasons ... first-class. Upon arrival at the beach we were set up with chairs, towels and an umbrella. Complimentary water is also provided. The beach itself is a beautiful crescent that provides excellent swimming for everyone. The snorkeling on the reef right in front of the resort is remarkable. We saw many colorful reef fish as well as several of the famous Hawaiian green turtles.

But the thing that blew us away was swimming with the spinner dolphins. Depending upon the time of the year and the luck of the draw, you will see spinner dolphins in the bay right front of the beach. But best of all, we were able to swim with the dolphins. I was swimming back to shore after some amazing snorkeling and next thing I knew, 50 spinner dolphins were swimming all around me. It was truly the most incredible things I have ever experienced. The dolphins were all around me; close enough to touch. They seemed unconcerned with me and we swam together for 10 minutes. We asked the beach attendants how often the dolphins came that close to the shore and they said that sometimes they don't see them for a while, and other times they are there for days in a row. So while you cannot plan your trip around seeing the dolphins, it is always a good idea to check to see if the dolphins are in the bay.

Whether you are looking for water activities, swimming with tropical fish, exotic sea turtles and occasionally spinner dolphins, or just a peaceful beach on which to relax, the Four Seasons Manele Bay offers something for everyone.
